Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 21, 2026 · Applies to all codelyx apps: Antique Ident, Coin Ident, Rock Ident and Toy Ident (the "Apps").
The short version
You don't need an account to use our Apps. The photos you scan are sent to our servers only to run the identification, and are not used to build a profile of you. We don't sell your data. Subscriptions are handled by Apple.
Information we process
- Photos you scan. When you photograph an item, the image is transmitted securely to our identification service to generate the result. Images are processed automatically and are not used for advertising and not sold to anyone.
- Anonymous device identifier. The Apps generate a random identifier (not tied to your name, email or Apple ID) used to enforce free-scan limits and prevent abuse.
- Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases; RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and the anonymous identifier above — never your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Saved items. Your collection (saved scans, values, notes) is stored on your device.
What we don't do
- We don't require accounts and don't collect your name, email or contacts.
- We don't sell or rent personal information.
- We don't use your photos for advertising.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Third-party services
The Apps rely on the following processors to function: Apple (App Store, payments), RevenueCat (subscription management), Google Firebase (backend infrastructure for the identification service) and AI model providers used solely to analyze the photo you submit. Each processes data only to provide the service.
Data retention
Scanned photos are retained only as long as needed to process the identification and for short-term abuse prevention, then deleted. Your saved collection stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Children
The Apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Delete a saved item, or the whole collection, at any time inside the App.
- Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

If we materially change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
